My friend Christina needed a new headshot for her CV materials, so I obliged. Christina is an architect from Germany who has been working remotely in Clinton County all summer, while her boyfriend, Parker, works on economic development projects with Energize Clinton County and the city. Parker’s also an architect and a college friend of my good friend Mark Rembert. So that’s how an architect from Berlin ended up in Wilmington.

This was a pretty simple lighting set-up using two strobes — one through an overhead umbrella and the other bare on the background. I really dig this set up so far.

So, I’ve slowly made a transition from a general WordPress.com blog/site to a self hosted WordPress.org site which will double as a professional portfolio. I’ve badly needed a place to store and showcase my work online, and the previous blog format wasn’t cutting it.

So I hope you like the new layout and please let me know in a comment on this post if anything snags as you try and navigate the new space.

Also, I’ve had a considerable upgrade in gear recently, and I’ve been testing out a recently remodeled home studio which I hope to put to use a lot more very soon. That’s where that picture above was taken. The 5D and 85 1.8 is my new favorite combination.

Thanks for looking.
